Baby Girl...Part III

Poor Lil Bit.....we got to take her bandages off in 7 days like we were supposed to after her surgery on the 21st, but one spot looked like it needed more healing so the Vet thought it best to leave the stitches in a week longer and she got new bandages on too. She has done real good and even has seemed like she has had more energy. She didn't keep the new bandages on for more than 2 days, but I had to improvise with an ace bandage as she keep trying to scratch ( you know something that dogs do...) and kept getting her nails stuck in the stitches...I thought for sure she would pull those stitches out herself! Well today was the day to go see if the stitches could come out and they did take them out, but the Vet saw that he made a boo boo and overlapped her skin some while he was stitching her up after her surgery. And if we left it that way it would never heal properly. The bad news is she had to get opened up again and stitched up again and she will have to wait 24 hours to eat or drink and wait another 10 to 14 days to get her stitches out...again. The good news is it didn't cost us anything ( as it was his mistake!!) and we got to wait while he did it and bring her on home. This is her sleeping it off on the bed in front of the air conditioner.

This was her last week sleeping in a prime spot...guess she won it out over Elvis. I don't think we are spoiling her.........Do you?
