$2

Went for dad to get the $248 TV, $18 Microwave, $35 chair, & a couple of $198 Laptops.......................

Came home with 12.....count em, 12, Two Dollar DVD'S!

Nothing like a good buy to put a smile on my face! :)

wHAt ThE.......

No one reading this will understand but the Shankster, Anna and SiL~Kimmie.

That being said, I went with Homie to Walmart today. He drove as he needed to get gas in his car. We passed up Casey's, along with every other gas station in town....& it was no wonder as he was driving so fast I barely noticed them in the blur. But then when he hit 62 on the road to WallyWorld, I was sure it was that he decided to get the cheapest gas he could, and that was sure to be out of town, so he was in a hurry as he was nearly empty. (yes I was delirious, nothing is that important for Homie to drive that fast for) I think we got to WallyWorld in record time, even after stopping for gas. I am not sure, I was freakin'....

I stayed in WallyWorld as long as possible to get my composure back. Then we were homeward bound. I swear he drove 65 most of the way home, (speed limit is 55/45 in the places he drove 62/65) I know as I looked...several times. I have new glasses. They are working, I checked.

Man, I am still freakin'.....I think I need a drink......

Hope

So I am a teeny bit behind in my posting, I still want to share this particular picture and post first while I am thinking of it.

At 16 years of age, my mother gave me a Hope Chest. I think possibly the real name for them are Cedar chests as that is what they were made of mostly on the inside. The "hope" part I believe, was just because they were a chest used to collect items of clothing or household linen, by unmarried young women in anticipation of married life. Or as my mother put it..In the HOPE of married life.

So for about 3 years I placed whatever I could find into that chest. My first pieces were an 8 place china set that I received as an incentive from a bank where I started my first checking account with. Over the years I lugged that heavy chest from place to place, as after the birth of my son I placed sentimental things in the chest I didn't want to lose. Along with most of his baby clothes/blankets/etc....

Recently, B informed me he was going to make K.B. a Toy chest for Christmas. (The boy really needs a toy chest.) I got the bright idea as he was telling me how he was going to make one and how big, that what if he could somehow use my old Hope Chest?

He did. I think its beautiful. I hope K.B. loves it as well. I also HOPE he keeps those toys in it!
