Missing Uncle Moh

Its been about 8 long months and we miss him like it was yesterday, the memories of him are as fresh in our minds as if it were yesterday. We came across this picture today and I think it says by itself, a thousand words.

Happy Anniversary Shankie

I want to take a moment to say Happy Anniversary to my hubby, Shank.

I want to acknowledge that I remembered it this year.

Kind of a long story but the short of it is that I seem to have forgotten it for several years.

Not that he is one to forget, or that the day I married him was one to forget either.

I don't know why, but I just let the date slip my mind for more than one year.

So to the Shankster...I am sorry for that. (but I know he really was ok with it, as I think he might have forgotten it once)

It was a happy day then, and today still happy. I will never forget those first days I knew you and could not get the twinkle in your eyes out of my mind. Even though it has been 27 years, I still love waking up to those beautiful, twinkly eyes.

By the Grace of God our marriage has not only survived...but thrived. We have been through some of the most difficult things a person, let alone a marriage, could handle and came through the other side together. I am thankful I have such a strong guy next to me forever. We make a good team.

Love you Shank and Happy Day!

I Think Baby Kailyr....

Was trying to make an appearance today!

For those of you who read my blog or that know me, know that I am going to be a first time Grand~NaNa. And for a while I thought it just might be today.
The original due date was middle of July. But I have a short story to tell.

Recently I was looking at my Checkbook Calendar and noticed I had in recent months done something that I totally forgot about. I had checked off a day in February that M had went to the baby doctor and then made my own calculations and just made little remarks/notes all over the edges of that calendar and then wrote "due date~June 23"
Then this morning as I was on my way to get my injection at the doctor, B gave me a call and told me that M was having a bit of trouble along with contractions and would I check on her. We were early to my appointment so we did. She was awaiting on her doctor to call and so I went on to get my injection. Anyhow, we all ended up at the hospital and after 3 hours the baby doc decided she should go home as her contractions got farther apart although are now more intense.
So it may be close...we shall see. I will keep you all posted.....

NanaD :)

p.s. I did get my injection in my shoulder by the way and wowowo does that dude still hurt like the dickens...whew..but my hand/arm is finally not asleep/numb.......just in time to hold babykailyr..........thank goodness!

Don't Come a Knockin?

Oh and Homie is gone....for at least a day...hopefully 2...so maybe a bit of alone time.

YaHoo....don't come round as we might just be running round the house in our undies.

:)

Rain, Rain, Rain

Well with another nite of Rain...we got more flooding. We tried to warn this guy not to go through and this was just from the rain/river behind our house. After about 30 minutes the bridge was covered up from the overflowing creek. Of course my battery died in my camera. I tried to make a couple movies..and will try to upload them.

If you look closely...you will see a tiny blue ball by the tree out by the white pole. That would be my excercise ball...in the creek...which is up on the driveway that you cannot see now on the other side of the white pole. My ball usually stays on the back deck up on the hill...guess there were more winds last nite that I thought.

This is a not too focused pic of the rain/river behind the house. But it shows how much more it rained this morning.

I just have one question.......the water in the toilet is swirling.....big time...what does that mean and should I be worried?

Even though it rained so much we got a river in the back yard.............................

IT IS STILL STINKIN HOT

How Do You Spell Relief?

WIND/RAIN and a bit of Hail

I feel a lil bit better now................ :)

Ugh....

Its been a while since my last post.

I guess I am just TOO STINKIN HOT to sit in here and type. Now today its still TOO STINKIN HOT to sit in here and type, but Gee whiz...Its TOO STINKIN HOT to do anything else too. We spent a few hours yesterday and today in the car just to keep cool, but at the price of gas we decided that was about enough of that. But I figured as long as there was gas in the car..hey why not use it up to keep me cool.....and it was all about me, wasn't it?..and also because its TOO STINKIN HOT to stay in here!
We tried to go find an air conditioner but didn't get anywhere. Not that there aren't plenty around, just not in my price range for the time being. Now I know we were at a hardware store recently and I was sure it was about 2 weeks back and found one for $169. It was perfect. But could I give in to the Shankster and get it? NOOOO....At the time I was trying to save money and thought we might be able to get by without one. Figuring we could always go back there and get it. What was I thinking? It was no where to be found. Were we both dreaming we went there? We went there and to 2 other places and couldn't find any big enough to cool us off and not fall apart in 6 months but small enough for our pocket book.
OMG.....I never thought I would get used to CENTRAL AIR. Who would think you could get spoiled on such a thing? I wish I could have my house back, with the central air and the sun room and the garage and of course the pool. Gee don't get me started.
I got to thinking that even though I was not brought up in a house with central air...I don't even think we had a window air conditioner, I have however, since the age of 18, always had the pleasure of living where I had central air. Until the last 5 years since coming here. Ugh.
Ok that's all of that pity party.

I noticed upon signing in that I had 3 comments that were waiting on me when I came here today. Sorry I have been MIA lately, but with a combination of depression, ill feelings, baby showers, usual chores and being TOO STINKIN HOT....I just didn't feel like coming here and typing..only reading my usual favorite blogs.
So to all the usual readers and commenter's...Thanks once again for stopping by and I will try to pick myself up, stick my tongue back into my mouth and quit my heavy panting (with the dogs) and begin to blog on a regular basis again. :)
